PRIVACY POLICY

Your information should work for you, not against you.

Effective date: 15 August 2026

Nudge is a reminder and productivity service designed to help people and teams capture obligations, tasks and follow-ups from WhatsApp and connected services. This policy explains what information Nudge may process, why it is processed and the choices available to users.

1. Information we process

Depending on the features you use, Nudge may process your WhatsApp number and profile information, account details, reminders, messages you intentionally send to Nudge, reminder actions, uploaded voice notes or images, time-zone and language settings, subscription and billing records, security/session information and technical service logs.

2. Connected applications

If you explicitly connect a third-party service such as Google, Microsoft, Slack, Todoist or another supported provider, Nudge may access only the account data and capabilities that you authorise through that provider's consent screen. This may include, for example, relevant email, calendar, task or workspace information needed to provide the features you selected.

Nudge stores connection metadata and, where required to maintain a connection, securely protected OAuth credentials such as access and refresh tokens. We do not ask you to provide your Google, Microsoft or other provider password to Nudge.

3. Google user data

Connecting Google is optional. If you connect a Google account, Nudge may access the Google data covered by the permissions you approve. With the current read-only integration, this can include Gmail message content and metadata, Google Calendar event information, and Google Tasks information and due dates.

Nudge uses authorised Gmail data to identify user-relevant deadlines, commitments, follow-ups and reminder instructions; authorised Google Calendar data to identify upcoming meetings, appointments and time-sensitive events; and authorised Google Tasks data to surface tasks and due dates in your reminder workflow.

Nudge does not use the current Google permissions to send, modify or delete Gmail messages, edit Google Calendar events, or modify Google Tasks. Nudge does not sell Google user data or use it for advertising.

Nudge's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Nudge does not use Google Workspace API user data to train or improve generalised AI or machine-learning models. Where automated or AI-assisted processing is used, it is limited to providing or improving user-facing Nudge features for the user whose data is being processed.

Nudge may store protected OAuth access or refresh tokens and the minimum connected-service data reasonably needed to provide the features you requested, prevent duplicate processing, maintain reminder provenance, secure the service and honour your settings. You can disconnect Google from Nudge to stop future access and remove stored connection credentials in accordance with Nudge's connection lifecycle.

4. How information is used

Information is used to deliver reminders, understand reminder instructions, synchronise authorised connected services, provide account and billing functions, prevent abuse, maintain security, improve reliability and provide customer support.

5. AI-assisted processing

Some Nudge features may use automated or AI-assisted processing to interpret the content you submit, identify potential obligations, normalise dates or times, and help organise reminder information. Nudge is designed to request clarification rather than deliberately invent missing reminder details.

6. Sharing and service providers

Nudge does not sell personal information to advertisers. Information may be processed by infrastructure, communications, payment, security, analytics or AI service providers where needed to operate Nudge. Information may also be disclosed where required by applicable law or to protect users, Nudge or others from fraud, abuse or security threats.

7. Data retention

Information is retained for as long as reasonably required to provide the service, maintain security, meet legal obligations and support legitimate operational needs. Different categories of data may have different retention periods.

8. Your controls

You may disconnect supported integrations, revoke sessions, manage reminder and delivery preferences, request available account-data exports, and request deletion where supported and legally applicable. Disconnecting an integration removes Nudge's stored connection credentials for that account in accordance with the service's connection lifecycle.

9. Security

Nudge uses technical and organisational safeguards intended to protect account and connection information, including authentication controls, restricted access, secure transport and protections around third-party OAuth credentials. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

10. International processing

Nudge and its service providers may process information in countries different from the country where you live. Where applicable, appropriate measures are used to support lawful cross-border processing.

11. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as Nudge develops. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date and, where appropriate, providing additional notice.

12. Contact

Privacy and data-protection enquiries may be submitted through the official Nudge support channels published at nudge.phloxo.com.
