Google integration transparency

How Nudge uses Google data

Nudge is a WhatsApp-first reminder and productivity application. Connecting Google is optional and happens only after a user chooses to authorise a Google account. Nudge uses the authorised Google information only to provide reminder, task and follow-through features requested by that user.

Gmail

gmail.readonly

Nudge reads authorised Gmail message content to identify user-facing reminder signals such as deadlines, payment due dates, appointments, commitments and follow-up instructions. Nudge does not send, modify, label, archive or delete Gmail messages.

Google Calendar

calendar.events.readonly

Nudge reads authorised calendar events to identify meetings, appointments and event times. Event time is kept separate from reminder time: Nudge applies the user's configured reminder interval rules to decide when to notify them. Nudge does not create, edit or delete calendar events.

Google Tasks

tasks.readonly

Nudge reads authorised Google Tasks and due dates so those obligations can participate in the user's reminder and follow-through workflow. Nudge does not create, edit or delete Google Tasks.

User control and Limited Use

Users can disconnect a Google account from Nudge at any time. Nudge does not sell Google user data, use Google user data for advertising, or use Google Workspace API data to train or improve general-purpose AI or machine-learning models. Nudge's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

For details about access, storage, sharing, retention and user rights, read the Nudge Privacy Policy. See also the Terms of Service.
